The wait is over! After listening closely to the needs of our community, EMBODI is thrilled to announce a highly anticipated expansion of its services: we now officially support patients under 18!

This brings the same smooth, intuitive experience you've come to expect from EMBODI, meticulously designed to empower young patients while ensuring guardians maintain essential oversight and control. It's a true testament to our commitment to making healthcare management accessible and secure for every age group.

Here’s how this exciting new system works:

EMBODI has crafted a dual-path process that caters to both the minor patient and their guardian, ensuring transparency and security every step of the way.

For the Minor:

Young patients can now take a more active role in managing their health, all within a familiar digital environment:

• Download the EMBODI app and install on their phone. 📲 Getting started is as easy as downloading any other app.

• Create a login and link their Genesis account. Once installed, minors create their personal EMBODI login and securely connect it to their existing Genesis healthcare records.

• Receive a prompt for guardian approval before proceeding. ⏳ This crucial step ensures that no sensitive information is accessed or shared without explicit consent, triggering the next phase of the process.

For the Provider:

Healthcare providers will find the integration seamless, with clear indicators and a straightforward process for facilitating minor access. Here are the steps to initiate a minor release through the provider portal:

• Log in to the provider portal.

• Go to the minor patient's account. Locate the specific patient whose release you want to initiate.

• On the Patient Details page, look for the vertical ellipses (three dots). Click on them.

• From the options that appear, select "Send Minor Access Request".

• Fill out the Required Guardian Information. Make sure all the details are accurate.

• Finally, click "Send Access Request."

• An approval email will be triggered and sent.

• Guardian can approve or deny with a single click.  

• Minor gets a text notification of the decision.
